Frequently asked questions

Why ECDE in Central Kabuoch Village?

Every child deserves the best start in life, which includes a healthy birth and quality and inclusive early childhood education. Too many children from poorer and marginalised households are unable to access the support and care they need.

A child’s most important steps happen before they set foot in a primary school. Early childhood interventions should support four key developmental domains — physical, cognitive, linguistic and socio-emotional development. However, in some areas, children’s early learning is too often neglected, putting such children at a disadvantage before they even start school.

The main purpose of pre-primary education is to prepare children physically, emotionally, socially and mentally for formal schooling and to prevent poor performance and early drop out. Within Central Kabuoch Location, there are needy and underprivileged children, aged 3-8, who do not have the opportunity to attend pre-primary education due to the families’ economic conditions and lack of information on this critical stage of the children’s education. Consequently, most of the children in Central Kabuoch lack the strong foundation for basic education.

What does The Nereah School offer?

The MNF has also formulated a selection policy for purposes of identifying the most deserving pupils from families within the area who will be fully sponsored.

Why Support The Nereah School through MNF?

The School continues to receive numerous applications for admission from the community. There are many deserving children for the School’s program and if these children do not get an opportunity to enroll for early childhood education, they are more likely miss the critical foundation for their lifelong learning and wellbeing.

The expanded Nereah School will accommodate more pupils from the community, which has very high number of underprivileged children and lacks quality early childhood education centers (both government and private). The pupils will get high quality pre-primary education, which focuses on their emotional and intellectual development.
